Participants: Current membership and interested parties from 18 countries.

Vision: To be the lead global networking organization for guidance and development.

Mission: To improve the international collaboration necessary to reduce suicides.

Goals: Promote the scientific understanding of suicidal behaviors in Defense and Police Personnel.

Plan: Promote scientific understanding.

Updates: This is the first update for this new task force.

Current: Current focus is on increasing membership.

Achievement: Proposal for the task force was approved by the IASP board.

Action: Put out a call for proposals to sponsor 1-2 day symposia.

Identified: Most of the current expertise on the task force is in military suicide.
