Walk for Mental Health Awareness

NAMI SWI is holding a Walk for Mental Health Rally Plus Scavenger Hunt, Picnic Lunch & more on Saturday, October 22 at Moody Park, 525 South Roby Lane, Fairview Heights, IL 62208, Pavilion #5.  Our Walk follows Suicide Prevention Awareness Month of September and Mental Illness Awareness Week the first week of October.   Our walk may be after these two big events, but our intention is the same…to rally for mental health.  We know the brain, like other organs in the body, can get sick too.  This event is not just to raise funds BUT to raise AWARENESS for mental health conditions and help rid stigma that is still so prevalent today with brain disorders.
