IASP General Secretary Prof Lai Fong Chan has the pleasure of inviting all IASP members to attend the General Assembly, to be held during the 33rd IASP World Congress on 12 June 2025 at 12:30 CEST in Vienna, Austria.
The General Assembly is a key moment in IASP’s calendar, offering members the opportunity to contribute to the governance and future direction of the Association. All members are strongly encouraged to attend and participate in this important event.
The agenda will include key updates from IASP leadership, including reports from the President, General Secretary, Treasurer, and Editor-in-Chief of Crisis, as well as discussions on governance, membership, and other matters of organisational importance.

- Welcome from the President
- Review of previous minutes and business arising
- Reports from office bearers
- Governance and membership discussions
- Any other business
- Closing remarks from the President
Supporting documents, including governance and membership consultations, will be shared with members in advance. Reports will also be circulated closer to the date of the Assembly.
Participation Options
Members who are unable to attend in person may still take part in the decision-making process in two ways:
1. Proxy Voting
Members may nominate a proxy to vote on their behalf. Proxy votes will count towards quorum and remain valid even if resolutions are amended during the meeting.
2. Online Voting
A secure online voting link will be circulated before the Assembly. Please note that online votes do not count towards quorum and will not be valid if any amendments are made to resolutions during the Assembly.
IASP encourages all members to take part in this process—whether in person, via proxy, or online—to help shape the organisation’s future.
