Since assuming my role as President of the International Association for Suicide Prevention (IASP) at the beginning of this year, I have been impressed by all of the hard work that takes place behind the scenes on our behalf by the Central Administration Office (CAO) team.
World Suicide Prevention Day New Theme
World Suicide Prevention Day, observed on 10 September every year, exists as a platform to raise awareness of suicide and to promote preventative measures with the aim to reduce the number of suicides and suicide attempts globally.

In October, nominations and ballots began for the IASP Executive Committee and the IASP National Representatives in accordance with the organisations constitution.
