Launch of the Portuguese Suicide Prevention and Psychological Support Line

On September 10, 2025, in the Main Hall of the Alcântara Maritime Station in Lisbon, the Portuguese Suicide Prevention and Psychological Support Line will be officially launched, as part of the “Asking for Help is the First Step” event and World Suicide Prevention Day.
This meeting will bring together healthcare professionals, citizens, journalists, leaders, and partner organizations to present this new immediate support service, discuss innovative prevention strategies, and explore digital opportunities for promoting mental health literacy.
