Setting Sail For New Horizon: Joint Press Conference

On September 10, 2025, World Suicide Prevention Day, the Hong Kong Jockey Club Centre for Suicide Research and Prevention (CSRP) at the University of Hong Kong (HKU) will collaborate with Suicide Prevention Services (SPS) to host a press conference themed “Setting Sail for New Horizon.” Professor Paul Yip will present the latest suicide statistics in Hong Kong, while Ms. Lisa Ho, CSRP’s Training Consultant and Clinical Psychologist, will discuss challenges faced by young adults and provide guidance. SPS’s Executive Director, Mr. Vincent Ng, will share service statistics and case experiences from their hotline, highlighting issues among young male callers.
