Arya Thirumeni is a PhD Candidate at the National Institute of Mental Health And Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS), Bangalore, India. Arya’s research focuses on developing a culturally sensitive suicide literacy module for youth. In addition to her PhD, Arya serves as the Program Manager for Youth Mental Health and Self Harm Study, which is a program for emergency department-based intervention for suicide attempt survivors (0-24 years).
