Psychologist; Co-founder and Head of Instituto Vita Alere de Prevenção e Posvenção do Suicídio (Brazil); Lead of CIP – Center for Innovation and Research in Mental Health, Technology and Suicidology at Instituto Vita Alere; Latin America Lead for the IASP Partnerships for Life program and Brazil National Representative at IASP. 

PhD in Psychology from Universidade de São Paulo (USP), researching how awareness, literacy, and campaigns can prevent suicide, including the role of the internet and social media. Master’s in Public Health (Mental Health Promotion and Suicide Prevention) from Karolinska Institutet (Sweden), researching postvention in Brazil. 

Coordinator and lecturer in postgraduate programs, courses, and training on mental health promotion, self-harm, suicide prevention, and postvention. Organizer of events, videos and campaigns on the subject. Facilitator of suicide survivor support groups. Private practice in psychotherapy. Developer of programs for professionals, lived experienced people, schools, universities, companies, and the general public, including A.P.O.I.A.R. (distance training of lay people in suicide prevention) and a suicide prevention program for the São Paulo subway. Creator of the Mental Health Map, which reached over 2.5 million people across Brazil. 

Founding member of Vertentes, a mental health ecosystem. TEDx speaker. Author and co-author of more than 40 books, articles, and booklets on the subject. 

Founding member and past board member of ABEPS (Brazilian Association of Studies and Suicide Prevention) and ABRASES (Brazilian Association for Suicide Survivors). Member of the CVV (Centro de Valorização da Vida) Advisory Board. Member of Meta’s SSI Advisory Committee. Member of the IASP Postvention and Media Taskforce. Former Technical Director of CONATTS (National Commission for Technical Approach to Suicide Attempts). Reviewer of national and international documents and reports. Recipient of medals and awards in Brazil and abroad for work in suicide prevention.
