II Ibero-American Congress on Suicidology 2026 “From suffering to meaning, from despair to hope.”

The II Ibero-American Congress on Suicidology is an international scientific meeting that will take place on 10–11 September 2026 in Barranquilla, Colombia, as part of the World Suicide Prevention Month.
The congress will bring together researchers, academics, clinicians, mental health professionals, educators, policy makers, community leaders, and organizations from across Ibero-America to exchange scientific evidence, innovative practices, and collaborative strategies for suicide prevention and postvention.
The scientific program will include keynote lectures, oral presentations, scientific posters, and interdisciplinary dialogue focused on research, innovation, public policy, protective factors, community intervention, and lived experience.
Organized by the Ibero-American Network of Suicidology (RIS), the congress seeks to strengthen international collaboration and promote evidence-informed actions that transform suffering into hope through science, education, and collective commitment.
