Daniel Sanchez Morales is an M.A. student in Counselling and Clinical Psychology, awarded the Canada Graduate Scholarship – Master’s Program by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC). He collaborates with Dr Mark Sinyor at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, and currently supports the Partnerships for Life/Alianzas por la vida – Americas Region initiative as the project coordinator, assisting in English and Spanish. He has experience conducting research and policy analyses in both local and international contexts, across different population levels in the Americas, and with stakeholders ranging from policymakers and mental health professionals to people with lived experience His research interests cover suicide prevention strategies both locally and internationally, intersection between urban spaeces and accessing mental health services, individual-level risk factors for suicide, policymaking around mental health, and institutional responses to suicide prevention. Daniel is interested in providing support when translating research findings into pragmatic actions.
