Tristan is an artificial intelligence entrepreneur and applied machine learning expert. He is the founder and CEO of ChAI, where he works on the use of machine learning, predictive analytics and alternative data to support better decision-making under uncertainty. Alongside his work in industry, Tristan maintains close academic ties as a fellow or honorary lecturer at UCL, Imperial College London and the University of Cambridge. He has worked across academia and industry to bring advanced AI methods into practical use in fields including medical research, public health, investment banking and asset management. Excited by the capabilities of AI but clear-eyed about its limitations, he has written and spoken about where AI works, where it fails, and how it should be used without surrendering human judgment. He brings to IASP expertise in artificial intelligence, innovation, strategy and the responsible use of advanced technologies in high-stakes human contexts.
