IASP 32nd World Congress 2023

Countdown to IASP 32nd World Congress, Piran, Slovenia

As the 32nd IASP World Congress grows near, we continue to plan for an exceptional conference.Β Our programme is truly international, with an overwhelming number of abstract submissions received, culminating in presenters from more than 40 countries presenting more than 500 presentations. All presentations will be recorded and available as post-congress webinars to all registered delegates.

IASP is exceptionally proud to present this World Congress alongside our partners and sponsors, who have helped bring this captivating programme together in their own way.

We have much on offer for our Early Career delegates;Β including a bigger and better Pecha Kucha Event, a Pre-Congress Workshop & lunchtime networking session. Working beside our Pecha Kucha sponsor, The American Association for Suicide Prevention (AAS), we promise to bring you an evening to remember. The Pecha Kucha Event challenges researchers to present their work in a new and engaging way and provides an opportunity to network with fellow ECRs and Senior Researchers in the field. The event is free and open to all congress delegates, however, there is limited capacity at the venue and so you must indicate your attendance upon registration. The event will be held at Sky Bar Bushy at Art Hotel Tartini.

Expect compelling keynote presentations from renowned Suicidologist, Professor Ann John, alongside Professor Robert Neimeyer and Dr Sheldon Solomon. Followed by plenary sessions from Professors Diego De Leo, Marco Sarchiapone, Brian Mishara, Matthew Spittal, David Mcdaid and Saska Roskar, alongside Drs; Steven Stack and Louise La Sala.

The Great Debate on the final day of the conference is not to be missed. The session will bring together two engaging and spirited teams to argue the place of gender in suicide research, artfully led by the charismatic host, Dr Zac Seidler.

No matter if your background is academia, research, clinical, lived/living experience, community, bereaved or policy, the International Association for Suicide Prevention welcomes you to join us in Piran in September 2023. Register for in-person or virtual attendance here.Β
