Abstract Submission
Abstract submission for symposia, workshops, oral and poster presentations for the 34th World Congress in Sri Lanka is now open.
Important Dates:
Abstract Submission Opens 27 May 2026
Symposium & Workshop Abstract Submission Closes 15 September 2026
Earlybird Registration Opens: 15 October 2026
Oral & Poster Abstract Submission Closes 15 October 2026
Earlybird Registration Closes 18 February 2027
General Registration Closes 4 June 2027

All Abstracts will be reviewed and given a weighted score based on:
- Level of content
- Excellence relevant to the field
- Originality
- Methodology

If submitting for symposium presentations:
The symposium abstract maximum word length is 2000 words.
Symposia components should include:
1. Overall title.
2. Overall abstract/concept.
3. Three/four presentation abstracts with one learning objective but no other format requirements.
4. Two questions/discussion points at the end of the abstract to facilitate discussion.
Symposium sessions will be 60 minutes in total, including Q&A
If submitting for workshop presentations:
The workshop abstract maximum word length is 2000 words.
Workshop components should include:
- Workshop title.
- At least three learning objectives.
- At least three learning outcomes.
- Background.
- Format/session plan.
- Two facilitators.
Workshop sessions will be 90 minutes in total, including Q&A.
If submitting for an oral presentation:
The oral abstract maximum word length is 500 words.
Oral components should include:
- Oral presentation title.
- One learning objective.
- Background.
- Method.
- Results.
- Discussion.
Accepted oral submissions will be allotted a total of 10 minutes in the program, with additional time at the end of the session for collective Q&A.
If submitting for a poster presentation:
Poster abstract maximum word length is 500 words.
Poster components should include:
- Poster Title.
- One learning objective.
- Background.
- Method.
- Results.
- Discussion
Accepted posters will need to be provided in hard copy as well as digitally and will be displayed both in hard copy (A0 portrait printed poster) and digitally in the Congress app.
