Partnerships for Life Global Webinar Series: Europe Region

Join us for the next instalment of the Partnerships for Life Global Webinar Series on Thursday, 22 October 2026, focusing on rethinking needs and responses after suicide, assisted suicide, euthanasia or suicide attempt.

This 60-minute session, chaired by Europe regional co-leads Professor Vita Poštuvan and Professor Thomas Niederkrotenthaler, will feature presentations on postvention, bereavement support and the needs of significant others, followed by discussion. We will be joined by guest speakers Dr Eve Griffin, Dr Zrinka Laido and Professor Dolores Angela Castelli Dransart.

Suicide Prevention in the Criminal Justice Sector

Join us for the launch of the IASP Suicide Prevention in the Criminal Justice Sector Special Interest Group (SIG) on Tuesday 3 November 2026, and help shape a new international community focused on reducing suicide and improving support for people in contact with criminal justice systems. Suicide prevention in prisons, police custody, probation and other criminal justice settings presents complex challenges. Addressing them requires collaboration across disciplines, sectors and countries, and the new SIG aims to create a space for exactly that. Whether you are already working in this field or simply have an interest in suicide prevention and criminal justice, we would love you to be part of the conversation.

The IASP team is delighted to invite you to our upcoming IASP/IASR Research Webinar, taking place on Thursday, 26 November 2026. This 90-minute online session, chaired by Professor Chan Lai Fong, will bring together researchers and professionals to explore the latest developments in suicide prevention science.
